Free landline voicemail - in USA, or OZ or even UK?

I currently use www.stanaphone.com - I get my own USA landline number
with my own voicemail message

Does anyone know of any others? If I spend a lot of time travelling
between Oz, and USA it's nice to put down a landline number on my CV...
and still be able to retrieve my messages from overseas (can check it
once every day)

I have checked out lots of OZ providers. I do use one of them.
None offer free geo numbers but simtex does geo numbers for AU$2.
The geo number is for simtex accounts. Their rates aren't so good
compared to other OZ VSPs but you can always use another provider if
you want ot make outgoing calls..They send voicemail messages by
email. It may be accessible by phone as well - not investigated -
don't have account with them.

Remove 'no_spam_' from email address.

maybe worth looking at for ideas

www.freedigits.com
www.ipkall.com
www.k7.net
www.voicestick.com

those are free; any number of providers could give you a number for a
couple of dollars or so a month
