    Yes, although there's nothing particularly special about 2.45GHz -- water
    absorbs RF energy over quite broad frequency ranges, and the choice of 2.45GHz
    was driven by a tradeoff between being able to cook deep within feeds while
    still absorbing enough energy to cook quickly. See:

    Note that specialized industrial microwave sometimes do use different
    frequencies based on the exact type, shape, and size of food that's being
    cooked.
