Cleaning Moto cable contacts

I hate the power and USB connectors on Moto phones. Even when new they often
make intermittent contact. I tried spray contact cleaner but it only helped
a little. Then I tried a piece of white paper rolled into a little tube to
"sand" the pins on the cables and, so far, it works! Paper is a mild
abrasive and you can use it to clean many electrical contacts, like the ones
on video cards, etc. You can even use it to buff light scratches out of
displays, or at least make them a little better.
