Despite the fact that hundreds of generations of our predecessors managed
to live their entire lives before the invention of the telephone, never
mind the mobile telephone, we couldn't possibly ask someone to stop using
one for a few months.
Suppose if, for one moment, a medical link was found between cellphone
use in mothers, and a certain birth defect in babies, how silly would
your last paragraph sound? It would be like asking what's the best way
to prevent the dangers of pregnant women smoking or drinking alcohol,
without actually giving up either of those vices, of course! ;-)
