Create your own SMSC ?

Hi everyone.

I've tried to search information on the web without luck - hence this:

- I want to store a backup of all SMS'es sent from my own phone in a file on
my PC - regardless of which phone I'm currently using. The way I want to do
it is by running some kind of SMSC service on my own PC (with a mobile phone
connected) and change the SMS service center number on the phone I'm
carrying (to the number of the phone connected to the PC).

When the PC recieves the message (if this is possible), I want to store the
message in a file and thereafter forward it to an "official" SMSC for
delivery to the intended reciever (this is possible, I know).

My primary concern is the alteration of the SMS service center number in my
mobile phone to another number - will this work?

Yours

Michael
