Re: Where can I find reviews of cellular coverage in Dallas?

Our web site did reviews for service in individual cities, but their weren't
many takers, so we now review them by state, Texas is at:

http://www.mountainwireless.com/celltx.shtml

However, in your situation, if your brother is satisfied with his TDMA
coverage, he will also be satisfied with its GSM replacement. Cingular
prepaid has good coverage, and SpeakOut offers almost the same service for a
lower price. SpeakOut doesn't roam once you get away from the major
highways, but you can take it to OK City, San Antone, Witchita Falls, etc.

When you switch to an unknown, like Verizon or T-mobile (and their
re-sellers), he may face areas with poor coverage he did not have before.
But if he wanted to save money, I am very high on T-mobile's prepaid. I was
able to use it all over TX, and with "Gold Rewards", the rate is actaully
less than .10/min.

DFW is a large enough market that your concern isn't so much coverage, but
more about Customer Service & price. The easy route is to switch to
Cingular GSM, but T-Mobile should be as good if he wants to save money.
