software to check others(children)

Hi i have been told that there should be some software that enable the
user to se if any of his/her friends is near an antenna, have switch
bluetooth on, and so forth. the software should be free but cannot
seem to find it.

help please.

P.S as i have come to know i think that the persone you want to have
information from must also have installed this software.. but i am not
sure..

I've never heard of this. It sounds like the "buddy finding" feature on
Boost Mobile, which displays a map on your phone and shows the locations
of your friends, but it's a arrier-specific/dependent feature- not
something end-users do on their own with added software.
