Does anyone know of a service that provides a Web interface so
that someone can send a text message to my cellular phone (or pager).
It would need a direct link so that I could put a link to it
on my contact page.
To illustrate what I mean, let me make a hypothetical
scenario.
The company that provides this service we will call
'webmessage.com'. I would be able to get a Web page that links to a
Web interface that already has my cellular number in it. The person
paging me would only need to type in the message, be limited to
whatever the number of characters I am limited to on my cellular, and
press a submit button when I am done. Example:
http://www.webmessage.com/8005551212 (where 8005551212 would be
replaced with my cellular number).
A page would pop up with:
Page: 8005551212
Text Message: <followed by a text box to compose the message
with the box limited to the correct number of characters for my
service limits (the maximum number of characters I can send)>
Submit button.
As an alternative, is there a way I can customize such a page
on my own Web site and link to a script on the service provider's site
( to do the same as the above but from a URL on my own Web site)?
Any other good suggestions would be appreciated.
