today announced a new version of its MMS SDK: ActiveXperts MMS Toolkit 2.1.


New in version 2.1 is the support for MM4. MM4 allows users to send MMS
messages over SMTP. MMS messages are sent to the MMS provider as SMTP
attachments. The MMS provider delivers the MMS message to the recipient's
mobile phone. MM4 requires a connection to an MMSC center through the
internet/VPN. The protocol is based on SMTP, messages are MIME encoded.

Another new feature in version 2.1 is the support for MM7. MMS messages are
sent over an HTTP/SOAP connection to the MMS provider, with MMS messages
encoded as XML. The MMS provider delivers the MMS message to the recipient's
mobile phone.

MM7 requires connectivity to an MMSC through the internet/VPN. The protocol
is based on SOAP, using HTTP as the transport protocol. The encoding of the
messages is done with XML.

Among the supported multi-media formats are: JPG, GIF, PNG, BMP, WBMP, TIF,
WAV, MP3, MIDI, AC3, GP3, AVI, MPG, MP4, VCARD, VCALENDAR and JAR.

ActiveXperts MMS Toolkit 2.1 is shipped with samples for Visual Basic .NET,
Visual CSharp .NET, ASP .NET, ASP, Visual Basic, Visual C++, VBScript, HTML,
JavaScript, Borland Delphi, Borland C++ Builder, PHP and more.
