Well, alt.cellular will work, but I added alt.cellular.tmobile because I know
T-Mo sells the phone (I just bought one from them)

On a non-membrane keypad? No.

Nokia 6133: Sudden Total Touchpad Failure?
Not only did I post this on alt.cellular.cingular by mistake,
I even got the model# wrong on that post.
SHB here... so here it is...
----------------------------------------------------------------
I've had plenty membrane failures with other phones, but the
pattern has always been that one or more keys slowly get flaky
over time until some just don't work - and if the membrane is
inspected, it's visually apparent that it's worn for those keys.
But my relatively-new Nokia 6133 doesn't fit that pattern.
One day I tried to press a key and got no response at all....
nada, zip, bupkis... even with repeated pressings. Turns out
that all of the keypad keys are similarly affected - including
the "Select" and navigation keys.
Anybody heard of this?
Probable causes?

Is that to say that my 6133's keypad is non-membrane?

I'm probably using the wrong terminology.
I also own a PEBL and it has the flat keypad that most Moto handsets do now.
The Nokia actually has buttons. I think. I'm not completely sure.

Took it to a retail store.
Rep yanked the battery, replaced same, started it up, and it
worked a-ok.
Some kind of software problem is my guess.
