Beware, Lack of Coverage>Calif.

Just got back from five nights on the Calif. Central Coast,
specifically, Cambria, just below San Simeon, where the Hearst Castle
is. Unless you go there with Verizon, or even Cellular One, which I was
surprised to hear, FOGETABOUTIT, nothing else works there at all. And
the Calif. Coastal Commission is down right set against any new
antennaes, even in fake trees, on a private ranch (Even though the
County Planning Commission wants them). You are dead in the water!!!

There only appeared to be two carriers that worked in Cambria, Ca's
Central Coast region, Verizon (For sure, even from out in the ocean, I
was told), and Cellular One (Even though putting in Cambria's zip code
in their coverage system, gets no results, but I spoke to a lady using
one perfectly). Anyway Googling both shows me IMHO, that their Pre-
paid is a misnomer. Verizon has two prepaid services, one costing you
99¢ per day, plus 10¢ per minute on calls. And their other plan gets
you so many minutes per month at a monthly charge. Cellular's is
similar to Verizons plan costing you $1.00/day, plus the per minute
call charge. What a bunch of scamming crapola. I do not call that
prepaid at all. I guess the ONLY one truly prepaid service must be T-
Mobiles, oh and maybe Tracfone, but I am not familiar with their
service/plans at all :-).

Hopefully, despite the Calif. Coastal Commission, someone will come to
their senses, and get more towers down there, if for no other reason
than safety!!!

Prepaid means you pay up front. Just because there is a service fee doesn't
mean it's not prepaid. And then there are plans like KidConnect, which we
have for our daughter (it's a T-Mo account). There's a monthly fee there too.
It's still prepaid, as long as once you run out of mintues, you can't talk
until you buy more.

I guess technically yes, but those sure don't feel so to me IMHO :-).

T-Mobile is definitely the cats meow when it comes to prepaid.
