Virgin Mobile Oyster malfunction

Hi, all-

I've had this VM Oyster for about nine months without problems. Now,
when I power on, it takes me to a plain screen with a black and white
graphic of what look like a cell phone and a server, with arrows
pointng to each other. Can't get to anything else. I've tried taking
out the battery and putting it back in. Any ideas?

Basic OS of the phone is trashed. I've lost TWO Motorola E815s that way
since last April. I think it was caused by a bug in Alltel's version of
MobiTV running on it. Who can tell when it comes on to:

BOOTLOADER USB INIT

and all the operating system is GONE!
