if you have an iPhone DON'T UPGRADE TO 1.1.1, otherwise you will
probaly *never* be able to use the hacks to enable use on other
networks or 3rd party apps. If iTunes gives you a "friendly" reminder
that a new update to the iphone is available and if you want to
    install it JUST SAY NO!

Note that in the near future, iPhones will most likely be sold with
1.1.1 already installed in which case you are screwed.

Theft??? What the hell are you talking about?

I guess you'd consider it theft to turn a screw with a butterknife instead
    of a screwdriver, eh?

Maybe that's the open space where they keep all the Open Source...

If I actually was dumb enough to buy an iPhone, I'd only update it
with a sledge hammer !!!! Every smack with the hammer is one level of
upgrade, for example, one slam = 1.1.1 second slam = 1.1.2 third slam
    = 1.1.3 etc.....
After the 3rd or 4th slam, your iPhone bill is free forever, and
    you'll never need another upgrade........
