When will be free of contracts and have other alternatives to the standard
ATT, Sprint, Verizon and T-mobile.

Does anyone have any inside informaiton on the new wireless spectum auction
between Google and all the other big cellular phone players?

Probably never. We were free of contracts for a short time in the late '90s.
Then all those new carriers started acting just like the bad old duopolists
but worse. Now we have two-year contracts. We never had that before. All I
see coming out of the 700 MHz auction is more of the same.

Why do you think anything will change? Companies are interested in
making money,
and using contracts is a very good way to make money.
