You're in luck! There are at least 50 phones with microSD memory cards
plugged into them, like my Motorola ROKR Z6m (Alltel). The phone takes
the pictures straight to the card. Then, we move the card to any
convenient PC microSD card slot...or plug it into a Sandisk SD card USB
adapter with a microSD to SD adapter plugged into its SD slot so it can
read the tiny cards. Windoze treats the card just like a hard drive.
In Motorola phones, the pictures are in /motorola/shared/pictures folder
the phone puts on it when you first plug it in.
Some carriers, of course like Verizon, hobble this all up trying to
force you to PAY them to email your own pictures to yourself. This is
nonsense, of course, trying to steal your money for services you don't
need.
To keep them from their little lies, carry your laptop with you and try
out the camera to your own little card BEFORE buying a new phone you're
stuck with that won't take pictures straight to the removeable card.
They'll lie through their cigarette stained teeth in a heartbeat.
You can also put music and movies and pictures on the card to play on
the phone.....unless some carrier bureaucrat screws around with it.
