Has anyone heard of Amp'd mobile???

Hi, I'm new to the forum and I was wondering if somebody could help me
out...My contract with cingular is expiring at the end of the year and
I'm already starting to think about switching carriers. Not that
cingular have been bad, but the reception in my apartment isn't too
great and I've always thought my Sony Ericsson was a bit too bulky. One
company that I'm particularly interested in is Amp'd mobile. I went to
www.ampd.com and I really like the sleek design of the kyocera jet.
Also, somebody told me that it's going to retail at about $100, which
is well within my price range. Has anyone heard anything about Amp'd?
Does anyone actually have one? What sorts of risks might there be
signing up with a fresh company? Any help here would be much
appreciated.
