Revenue Sharing Comes to Cell Phone Forums

On your 'Edit Profile' (http://cellphoneforums.net/profile.php?do=editprofile) page there is a new field for your Google Adsense publisher id. What does this mean? If you have an adsense account your ads will be shown on every page that you post a thread! (75% of the time)

So, imagine this: You post a tutorial on how to upload videos to the new chocolate. Someone diggs this thread and it other people start linking to it. This post is now getting around 1000 hits a day and you are the one making money from it! The more popular threads on you have on the forum, the better; this just multiplies how much you can make. Generally, ads shown through adsense on for cell phone related content pay higher then average.

Quick FAQ

Q: Where will my ads be shown?
A: On the threads that you post; Below the navbar (5 links) and below the first and last post on the the page for guests.

Q: Does this violate Adsense TOS?
A: No. Google will not allow different adsense account ads on the same page. All adsense ads on the thread that you post will be yours.

Q: Is there a limit on how much I can earn?
A: Nope! As long as your threads are getting hits, you will be earning revenue.

Q: What if I don't have an adsense account?
A: Go to http://cellphoneforums.net/profile.php?do=editprofile , click on the link there to sign up for adsense. You will have to have an existing website to sign up with. Do not put in cellphoneforums, it must be an active site that you created.

Q: How will I be paid?
A: Google takes care of this and pays when your account reaches $100. See your Payment History in adsense for more details (My Account > Payment History)

Do the ads have to be specific to any particular industry or can they be random ads on whatever is selected with the account? Or is this more for those with their own business and want to ad their services/prods?

Adsense displays the ads automatically based on the content of the page. If you have an adsense account all you have to do is put in your publisher ID.

I just signed up for cellphone forums today and was blown away when I saw the AdSense publisher ID field. Really innovative concept. Love it!

Pub ID is given to you by google. This is explained on the form itself.
