Re: What's your favorite iPhone Case?

I like my case because mostly there seem to be 2 types of cases: 1) cases that protect your phone when you carry it (and you need to take the phone out and 2) cases that you leave on all the time.

Re: What's your favorite iPhone Case?

I have had the invisible shield for 7 months. It was a great case but I found myself having to go the the invisible shield kiosk almost every 2 months to get a replacement. The back end would get filled of lint from my pants and with time, the edges would start to peel and get dirty. The phone did not look good. There was one time I used my old phoned for a week so the shield would stay placed on their correctly. Yes it did last longer the the rest but had the same results.

I currently have an Apple protective screen along with and INCASE phone case. I have the black case which is a soft rubber finish to it which is easy to grip and won't scratch. Both can be found online or the Apple store.

I dont currently have one...but I should probably get one, seeing as I've dropped it twice and there's a huge crack in the front (but it still works).

Re: What's your favorite iPhone Case?

I picked up the OtterBox Defender on eBay for $34.95 (free shipping). It's basically a hard-shelled impact resistant case with a silicon skin that slips over it once assembled. The silicon skin includes covers for the earphone jack, dock/charge port, and silent switch. It also has thin fibrous covers over the speakers (ear and speakerphone) and mic, a thin plastic membrane over the screen, and a clear plastic window over the camera lens and Apple logo that all serve to keep dust out of the case. It includes a belt-clip swivel holster that also doubles as a stand (the clip locks to the open position).

My only major beef with it is the membrane over the screen - it does not make permanent contact with the screen, so the areas where it touches and does not, and the resulting trapped air pockets, get annoying especially when playing games or surfing the web. I ended up tearing it out and simply putting a mirror screen protector on the phone instead. Also, the case is by no means meant to be taken off easily, so if you frequently use a dock for your iPhone this case is not for you. Lastly, non-official accessories like chargers or anything else that plugs into the dock connector that is not the exact same size as the official Apple accessories won't fit through the opening in the case.

Those issues aside, overall I am extremely happy with the case itself. It was knocked out of my hand and fell from a second-story balcony onto a parking lot early last week and survived with nothing more than a scuff on the silicon skin. Of course, were it to fall face down onto a something hard like a typical small rock big enough to make contact with the screen, no amount of protection would have saved it.

I wish I remembered the name of it. There is a super slim clear one at the Apple store I got. It seriously barely feels like you have a case on at all. All my friends who HATE having a case on still like mine because it is so subtle.

I'm a fan of leather and have a NZ made super slim from ikonic edge. Love the fact that it can also hold a few money cards and its a stylish looking pouch too.
