Still Won't Buy iPhone !

Although Apple reduced the price of its latest iPhone to a low $99, I still won't get one. When purchasing don't you still have to get an expensive 2-year contract with AT&T? Secondly, the new phones still don't get live TV meaning you can't watch favorite shows when not at home. Lastly, you still need to bring-in the phone to have a new battery installed. I was hoping these situations would be remedied because the iPhone has great features. I have played with them often at the Apple Stores.

i think the battery thing will be there for quite some time.

You can get one without signing a contract.... either BRAND NEW from apple for like $499 .... BRAND NEW on craigslist for like $250-$350 .... BRAND NEW on eBay for $400ish...

And btw- you CAN get live TV ... there's an app for that

Also, if you jailbreak it, there's (CompactTV) in cydia, family guy, simpsons, american dad, house, and a bunch of others...

Stop lying. You know you want one. I got mine RIGHT when the price dropped because of 3Gs.

All I can say is..Why watch Live TV on the Go? unless ur in an Airport or have Time too spare..it would do some SERIOUS Battery drainage. I have 3G here in Alaska an I get about 8ish or So of Good Battery Power AND thats NOT EVEN using it OFTEN while at work. But Like on person said IF you jail break your Iphone...the possibilities are ENDLESS..and HEY...its an Iphone so there's ALWAYS going too be an App for something..and if there ISNT..there WILL BE..since the New Type-S comes out Tomorrow.
