The iPhone still doesn't have what some of the other phones have and that's the availability to send snapped pictures via MMS. iPhone users have to email it, but that may be coming to an end.
CNET reports that since the OS 3.0.1 update, the MMS commands reappeared, which right now, MMS messages still can't be sent, but it looks promising sometime in the near future.
You can find the new commands in version 5.0.

Re: MMS may be coming to iPhone
Well, I saw a lot of videos with pictures in a message, threaded of course!
It's said that AT&T is soon to bring MMS to the iPhone, as for iPhones here in Egypt, MMSs are working for those who updated their iPhones to v3.
It's just a matter of service availability.
