Was using it one second, and then a moment later, I tried to get the screen up and nothing happened, so I asumed the battery must have died so I plugged it in and pressed the on button, but nothing is happening.
Any ideas as to what could have happened and what I could do to fix it?

If you can see the iPhone in iTunes, try to restore it. If that don't get it, you may have to try a forced recovery. Let me know if restore fixes it.

Re: My iphone won't turn on. It is totally non responsive?
This happened to me the other day. I don't know exactly what I did to get it to turn on again. I pressed and held the "home" and the "power" button together. I also did other random button combinations. Nothing worked. And I was saying in my other post, as I was sitting in the can, I tried those button combinations again and it turned on. Holy crap! (pun intended).
I was ready to make at trip to the Apple store to get a replacement (still under my 1 year warranty). Saved myself 1-2 hours just pressing random buttons.
