Re: iPhone 5 Surf & Talk?

I'm not too familiar with this, but I remember a couple years ago I read that Verizon was going to allow simultaneous voice and data over their 3G network. I'm not sure how, and I don't know if they ever did it. I've seen their advertisements talking about it, but that might be over their 4G network. I think the calls are currently being made over the CDMA network, and since the data can be used over their LTE network, I think it can be done at the same time. If there isn't LTE in your area, I'm not sure if both will work. In time, there should be VoLTE (Voice over LTE), which means your phone call is going over the data connection, and then both voice and data should work (since it's all being routed over the data connection).

I haven't done much research on this, so someone else might be able to reply with some more information.

I'm not sure then. I would think you would be able to use data over LTE and make calls over their CDMA network. I remember seeing an advertisement recently for AT&T saying that they are the only provider letting you talk and surf at the same time with the iPhone 5. I know you can do both on other Verizon phones (I think there is an Android phone that is advertised as being able to talk and use data at the same time) but I'm not sure about the iPhone. Maybe somebody else can reply with more information.
