Hello, this is my first message on this forum. I am planning to extend my 2 year contract or switch service, but I was wondering if I cancel my service what will happen to the advance payment of $60 I made when I first signed up for Cingular? I'm pretty sure there is not going to be any refund, so if I cancel my service what happens? Is there an extra month of service after I cancel or was it just an additional fee? Since today is Sunday, I can't call them so I was hoping to find answers tonight. Also I'm thinking about renewing my contract and I know there are incentives and fees. I know that I will be charged $18 for each line upgrade, but will there be any other HIDDEN fees on my next bill? Thank you.

Well if you decide to cancel your service before the contract runs out, you will have to pay an ETF and I'm pretty sure you lose that $60 advance payment. If you renew your contract you are usually given cheaper prices on phones and can sometimes get better deals on new plans. There will be the $18 charge for the upgrade but I don't think there will be any other hidden fees.
