Hey everyone. I bought a Sony W580i on ebay and everything works fine. Its jest I was wondering, I thought that when a fone was unbranded/unlocked then you are able to use features that were blocked or limited by ur provider. AT&T blocks using mp3's as ringtones if they are over 600 kbs. I thought that since I have unbranded/unlocked fone that I should be ablt to use mp3 of any size as a ringtone. by the way I have service wit AT&T (sim card is from them)

Re: unlocked fone issue
No, the only thing unlocking does is allow you to use the phone on different carriers. The capabilities of the phone do not change. And the size of ringtone is due more to what the phone itself is capable of doing, not some limit by the carrier. For instance, it seems that all Motorola phones have a limit of about 50K for ringtones.
