Finally!!!! After soo so long, I discovered a phone that actually does not require card reader for transfering larger files.
THE BLACKBERRY PEARL 8120!!
In most phones i had in the past, including N95, TyTN II, Pearl 8100. Their usb cable connection often takes over 10min to transfer 500MB of files from PC. I love MP3s and Movies so I have a high demand in usb preformance. I always end up using a card reader to avoid excessively long waiting period.
8120 is a totally new story. by cable connection it is faster than my card reader. It support SDHC as well. I use a 6GB SDHC!
Here is some transfer data I compiled together with my phones:
The measurement is based on transfering files for PC to phone:
Pearl 8120: 15MB/s
Pearl 8100: 1MB/s
N95: 1MB/s
TyTN II: 0.41MB/s
A typical USB v2.0 card reader: <5MB/s, depending on the SD card.
Pearl 8120 is 3 times the speed as a card reader.
KISS the card reader good bye!!!!
