Want Outlook sync & smart keypad; is Blackberry the only way?

I have AT&T/Cingular service, and I'm not bound by a contract. My Blackberry 7100g recently went bad--it no longer receives or transmits a signal well.

I want to replace it, and my basic requirements are as follows:

* Sync with Outlook (via Windows & USB)
* A "smart" keypad (either a full keyboard or a smaller one that has auto-word-detection)
* Smallest phone possible
* Recharge-battery-via-USB connection

My understanding is that my only choices are the Blackberry 7100 or 8100 series (in order to keep the size as small as possible).

Do any other viable alternatives exist?

I'm leaning toward a 7100 in order to save some money (probably buying a refurbished one) over an 8100/8110.

Thanks for any help,
-Matt

There are a number of WM phones out that can meet most of your requirements. I am not sure about the charging via USB though. Have you looked at the Blackjack II? Other than that there is the Treo 750 & the Tilt, I would not consider either of them small but I have had the Treo 750 for just about a year and can highly recommend it.
