Phones with the best reception not the razr

I live in Haughton La, coverage is iffy. Right now I have the v3 razr ok reception. I bought the LG shin reception sucks. I have been searching all day and am not getting anywhere. Can I get some great reception phones please I have 30 days to take the lg back. Im looking at the black jack ii, or sony erickson w580i. or any other you suggest. I need good reception and mp3. that really it all others are great. The sales rep said that the lg would be way better than the razr and it is not i just cannot stand the razr anymore. Do I have to step up to the ipone to get better reception. Im in the military so I travel alot.
