Coolness,Finger touch-screen, Music, music functionality, and internet are my primary focuses
right now I have a 1st gen cracked screen iphone that still works and also has the volume button stuck and suspected speaker problems
should I get a new 3G IPhone... I would rather not because I want something that feels "newer" since Im used to the IPhone... even though I love it I want something else.
Is there anything that comes close or is better ?
Well I was just hoping that I could get some good advice from informed consumers.
HTC Fuze, LG Incite, Samsung Eternity, LG VU, ?
Like I said I like the Iphone but I am bored of the interface since I have had it since launch.
I want a touch screen that vibrates when you touch it and a louder mic also ...
onboard memory is nice but I dont mind buying a memory card
If I HAD to buy an unlocked phone from ebay I could but I'd prefer ATT for price reasons obviously.

Re: Looking for a New ATT Phone...
In testing, I enjoyed the LG Vu.
On AT&T's network, the Vu has received negative reports from customers. I don't know why...but is just happens. They give you about 14-15 days to try out the phone to see if you truly like it.
I hated the iPhone 3G in testing. It was the most horrific thing I had ever tested. Random restarts, lacking 3G speed, and poor sensitivity touch are all what you experience in the iPhone world. It really seemed older than the old one!
The Samsung Eternity was also another you could get. I thought it was "OK"...it could be better. Touch sensitivity was great and the camera was superior.

Re: Looking for a New ATT Phone...
I'd look into one of the new HTC phones, there are a few. I am a fan of those because they have a touchscreen but also a qwerty keyboard.
As pointed out above, you do get a trial period to try the phone out. Do your research first, but do keep in mind that as long as you do no damage to the phone you have 30 days to try it out and then return/exchange it. Well...the iPhone I think has like.. a 14 day policy but you can ask a rep to be positive.

Re: Looking for a New ATT Phone...
I thought AT&T had a 14 or 15 day policy...hmm...
Maybe that was T-Mobile. I know Verizon's is 30 and Sprint's is 15...hmmm
I checked to verify. The standard is 30 days and for select devices and select accessories is is 14 and 15 on some.

Re: Looking for a New ATT Phone...
You should go to an AT&T store and check out some different phones, that is the only way you'll know. We can all tell you our opinions on phones that we think would be awesome but you may get it and not like it.

Re: Looking for a New ATT Phone...
I recommend Alana's idea.
Every phone is unique to every body.
The iPhone has a unique touch screen which appears almost like natural...it is pretty nice. The overall features of the phone...not so nice...it just depends on your needs.
Check with AT&T for further assistance.
