Hi guys,
I tried to post this in the buy/sell forum, but it wouldn't let me, so I'm doing it here.
I'm coming from Canada in April for a 6-month hiking trip from Southern California all the way to Northern Washington.
I am looking to do some electronic journalling along the way and would like to take over someone's AT&T contract to be able to send some e-mails or have access to the Internet. Apparantly AT&T and Verizon get the best service on the trail I'm taking, which is why I'm targetting AT&T.
I can't get myself into a multi-year contract because I am not a U.S. resident. I would be interested in taking over any contract that is less than a year, with or without the phone.
I'm primarily using this for e-mail, not for text messages and voice, so I'm looking for a data plan.
Anyway, if anyone out there is trying to get out of a plan early, please drop me a note!
Thanks,
Tamsin
(Not sure if I can post my e-mail address here, but if I can, it's tamsinrm at yahoo dot com).

Re: Looking to take over AT&T contract with data plan
My contract is well over 1 year, almost 2 years actually.
I have 2 phones, a Blackberry Curve (22 months left on contract) and
a Sony Ericsson 760 (approx 1 year remaining on contract) both phones are in excellent condition! It is a family plan and if interested you would be required to take both phones. They of course will do a credit check on you before allowing the plan transfer. It would be almost $350 to cancel the plan(s)
I have recently moved and do not have service with ATT in my area.
If you are interested please get in touch with me at
