Switching phones?

I bought a new phone in the beginning of December and I don't really like it, its not what i expected it to be. I was thinking of buying a LG VU off of Ebay or something, and I was wondering if i did buy a phone off of ebay could i just transfer the SIM card to my new phone and it would work? And i have insurance and stuff for my current phone, would that get transferred over to my new phone?

As long as the phone is an AT&T phone or unlocked.

I don't believe so.

I would switch phones if I found a slimmer one... but for now I'll stick with what I have...
I wish I had a FOMA phone....
