    I want a new phone
-one that gets good service because i live like right on the edge of at&t service line, i mean i get service in one room of my house and thats only in like the corner, if i leave it in the same area i can get like 3 bars but if i try to move it to my ear i lose service

so if someone could please either tell me a at&t phone that gets good service or tell a cheap way to boost my signal

Hi, First I would recommend that you get a Quadband Phone to ensure that you get a good reception.

But if your house is really too far from the nearest AT&T Tower, then getting a Quadband phone will not really matter. What you can do is to buy and install a Cell Phone Signal Booster in your house or get a phone that supports WiFi and Download Skype for Free WiFi Calling (Provided you have a WiFi in your house).

Most Phones running on Symbian S60 supports Skype Mobile like Nokia N95, Nokia N96 or Sony Ericsson K810i

Re: Im Looking For a New Phone

The phone itself plays a very minor role in overall signal.

If you are in a horrible coverage area and the phone is from AT&T...it's their network, not the phone. Therefore, switching the phone type shouldn't help much...

I would try Jake's suggestions before giving up on AT&T; however.

If all else fails, switch providers.

A quad-band phone does absolutely nothing to improve reception on AT&T. As long a the phone supports the 850MHz and 1900MHz it will perfectly fine on AT&T.

I had similar problems with a provider and then switched to AT&T and my reception improved drastically.
