August 3th,INQ announced two new handsets that are being targeted at heavy users of social networks such as Twitter. In 2008, INQ introduced the “Facebook” phone. These two new devices continue that trend, and bring with them a native Twitter application that is built into the user interface.

Users log in once, and the phone will always be connected to Twitter and update automatically. Other social networking services built into the phones include Facebook, Skype and instant messaging. INQ also worked closely with Google to develop a native Gmail app that resides on the phones, offering end users full push email. Both handsets offer 3G, GPS, built-in media syncing and modem tethering with both Windows and Apple computers, support for microSD cards up to 8GB, and over-the-air updates for all on-board messaging services.

INQ expects both phones to launch overseas during the fourth quarter. INQ was not prepared to make any announcements about U.S. distribution.
