I'm really confused when it comes to what's best when shopping for a phone. I'm wanting one that has all the features needed to download just about anything from the internet. I get a lot of errors saying :File too big. Plus really slow internet connections. I inquired about exchanging my phone I have now for a Blackberry but AT&T informed me that I would have to purchase a "Blackberry Package" in order for the phone to function properly. I was told that was $30 more a month just for that line. WOW!! What a rip-off. Any suggestions? Anyone?

If you pick a Blackberry, iPhone, or Windows Mobile phone, the $30 monthly data charge would apply; however, if you choose any other type of phone (like the Samsung Impression, for instance), data is cheaper, somewhere around $15/month for Media Net Unlimited.

I think if you want a phone which can download large files then you should go for a phone having *unlimited heap and jar size* and if your want high speed internet then go for 3G Phones. If you wan't to know which phone is good for you than ask me within which price range. You may email me at [email protected]

The thing is, I have 3 lines with AT&T on a family plan and I have unlimited internet and unlimited texting on all three lines. Why would I be required to pay extra for the one line for unlimited internet? Is it because of the phone I choose to use for that one line? i.e. Blackberry? etc.

The phone I am wanting to replace is just an inexpensive flip phone with small memory and no memory slot for expansion. I recently purchased a LG vu920 for my daughter that is one of the lines on my plan and that phone downloads all the data and files she wants. The price for the unlimited internet on that line stayed the same: $30 mo for all three lines. i.e. $10 each line.
