Boosting Cell Phone Signal in Home...

I have a problem with getting a signal inside my home. Outside my signal is 3-4 bars. I have a metal roof and I was told that is what bounces the signal off and keeps it from getting into my home. It is very important for me to be able to get a signal in my home because (by the way the economy is) I'm going to make my home office my place of business. You know work from home, save some money.

I have already tired using the zBoost and had no success. BTW the business I purchased from had crappy customer service. They seemed pissy when I told them it wasn't working. (I should have done some research) I checked to see what frequency my provider (AT&T) was on in my area... wirelessadvisor.com. It said AT&T was dual band in my zip code. So I had purchased the correct zBoost. I sent it back for a refund.

Well this time I am actually doing some research on the web and found a company called UNWIREDSIGNAL.COM?

Has any one heard of or purchased from them?

From their testimonials and reviews I found on the web - they're repeaters work and they sell all kinds of kits for your home and other applications. I have checked out their website and they seem to know what they're talking about. I'm thinking about purchasing a booster system from them in about a week and I just wanted to know if any one else had any good experiences with this company.

If no one responds, when I decide to purchase, I shall let every one know how it goes.

Thanks in advance

This is the only company I recommend, very reputable.

Cell Phone Antennas and Cell Phone Boosters at Wilson Electronics

Hope this helps.

It might not be cost effective to purchase an amplifier for a single location If you have high speed Internet service, Google "MagicJack"

Re: Boosting Cell Phone Signal in Home...

nvguyThanks for your response.

I actually called Wilson after going to their site (from your link) and they told me UnwiredSignal.com is one of their dealers and referred me to them. I think I'm going to go ahead and purchase. For them to be referred by Wilson over other dealers, I think that says something about their company. That and they also have a 30 day money back guarantee.
Once I place my order, receive it and set it up, I'll let every one know it if works and if its worth it.

efparri - Thanks you for your help.
I googled the MagicJack and its just not what I'm looking for. I already pay for my cell phone and don't need a home phone. Thats why I was looking for a Cell Phone Booster. Sure it may not be too cost effective but if I did the landline thing I'd be paying a monthly fee. (the booster would eventually pay for itself)

Thanks again, I didn't know they even had such a thing.

Following up...

Hello all and thanks for your suggestions...

Just following up on the Cell Phone Signal Booster - Repeater I purchased form Unwiredsignal.com

I called their toll free number (888-713-1243) spoke with Jeff. He asked me many questions about what I was trying to accomplish like how large is the area I'm trying to cover, how many bars do I currently get outside, who's my provider and so on. From the information I gave him he came up with a recommendation. He told me that the Wilson DB Pro 841262 would solve my signal issues. He described how the would set up in a way that helped me picture it in my head.

I went ahead and asked him if it was definately going to work. He said by the information that I gave him it will. Also said that he's not going to sell me something thats not going to work just to have me return it later that is a wastes my time and his. (which is true) So I placed my order on the 8th. He told me that he would be there to help me if I had any questions before, during or after installation. My total was $678.50 with shipping.

I received my package on the 12th (pretty quick). When it arravied it was packaged very nicely. There was tape on all sides of the box (like if it rained water wouldn't leak in) and packed it to where nothing jiggled if you shook it. I took the documents out and they had sent me a line drawing of how the kit sets up and a tip sheet. (very helpful) I opened it and all its contents read all the instructions carefully. Called Jeff and was able to ask him questions about mounting the outside antenna before I got started on installing. It took me about an hour and a half to install it.

Once installed I had to turn off all cell phones in the home before powering up the system. Before I turned off my phone I had no bars... when I powered up the kit, turned on my phone I had full bars! Unbelievable! I was skeptical if it was going to work as good as he said it would, but man I am now a believer. I walked all over my house and there they were... the whole time... full bars! To test it some more I asked my neighbor to come over with his cell phone (he has T-mobile) to see if he got a signal in my home and sure enough he did! I am still in awe that it worked even better than I expected. Haven't had any issues. I can't wait to have my family over for the holidays... no more having to go outside to answer that call. Finally my work will come home!

I would most definately recommend Unwiredsignal.com to any person that has cell phone signal issues and who wants to do something about it. If you want to ask me anything feel free or you can call them directly. 888-713-1243

That $39.95 you pay for the MagicJack adapter gives you one year of local and long distance service to numbers in the United States and Canada. That is a lot less than the $678.50 you paid for the signal booster, which only would work in your house. Subsequent years cost $19.95. You can carry it anywhere in the world and make calls as if you were in the United States.

You give them the MagicJack number instead of your wireless number. You plug a cordless phone base unit into the MagicJack and make and receive calls all over the house. With multiple handsets, others can make calls too.

Re: Boosting Cell Phone Signal in Home...

Getting back to what this thread was about Solarblue89 wanted to boost his in house cell phone signal and did so successfuly As stated ( like a lot uf us today) he did not want a land line style of service, I can completly see both sides though.

Personally everyone has my cell number except those I don't want bothering me they get my google voice number, I also have a voip line for when iI want to burn time without affecting my cell plan (no one has that number)

All in all to each his own
