cell phone blues

i really need cell service. i do not have a whole lot of cash. i had every company and ended poorly at some point or another with them. i paid the balance through collections but now i can not get service because it still comes up pass due balance or 4-800 dollar deposits. i really need service and a contract would be best as i am now trying to fix my credit.help! i realize i brought this on myself and am not looking for a miracle or smart comments, just suggestions or if anyone else had this problem, some advice. thanks.

Why not do a prepaid service?

If you have credit that is that bad, then you are either going to have to bite the bullet and pay the huge deposit or go with a prepaid plan. Having been down the slippery slope of bad credit, I know where you are coming from. Unfortunately, it isn't so easy to overcome.

If you insist on a contract, you will most likely have to deal with the deposit, unfortunately. Just so you know, having and paying a phone contract won't help improve your credit. Those aren't reported to the credit bureaus unless you're behind. You'd be better off with a pre-paid unlimited phone and work on fixing your credit with things that actually count.
