My ex husband sometimes send me a text msg or voice where he is verbally abusive. I'm wondering if ATT has a record of these conversations and how do I get a copy of them?

AT & T can't keep a record of those things, it would be a breach of privacy. However, there are plenty of ways that you can keep them yourself. You can go to the police and file a report and play them the messages or let them read the texts for that matter.

I would recommend just keeping the text messages and saving the voicemail message like the poster above mentioned. That is probably the easiest.

Your phone should have an SD memory card in it, or a place to insert one. You should be able to save text and voice messages to it.

It is unfortunate that your ex has to act like a child. I wish you the best in your efforts to put him in his place.
If you can't race it, play with it, or take it to bed with you, it ain't worth having!

    Boy, that is terrible.

A low-tech way of handling this would be to simply use a voice recorder while playing the message on speaker. Just a thought...

So how are you coming along with this? Have you found a solution?

Not yet. There are so many solutions that I have not tried yet. But I will. He seems to be mellowing some. I hope time will be on my side.

Just don't delete your text messages. When you call your voicemail, press the button that it tells you is for saving them. Make sure you call every once in a while and save them again so they don't expire.
