seems like im getting prices of $140.00 and up for one phone. its cute how they give you a total without taxes and what ever else they can leave off until you get your bill. i think there almost as bad as dish or direct when it comes to giving you a price. they dont really want you to know the total ahead of time. plus i found a post about people that dont use any data yet they dont offer that plan, so your paying for something you never use. right now i have a old $34.00 a month for two phones. not a lot of minutes but i dont use mine for more than 20 minutes a month, other phone is my wifes and same for her. now she will be on the road and figure she will need more but the plans have me scared, hidden cost, cost for features not ever being used. ive talked to about 8 people lately and all have at&t and seem happy with them. im with a local company that has been taken over by verizon but my plan stays the same, well for now but then im out of contract so if they did try to increase my bill i could drop them. suggestions on what to look out for when signing up with at&t.

Re: why so expensive
For minimal use of minutes and data I would suggest looking at Consumer Cellular. They use AT&T network. I recently switched because of low use and went from a monthly bill of $65 to a monthly bill of $20.00+tax for one phone.
