Brewsky 8900 - Easy to use ring tone/wallpaper manager for Audiovox 8900

I decided to start a new thread so that I can track bugs easier.

Ring tones, Get Camera Pics, and Wallpapers are working!

Put your ringtones in: C:\Program Files\Brewsky 8900\RingTones\
Put your wallpapers in: C:\Program Files\Brewsky 8900\Wallpapers\

Also, I have added menu tools to easily patch the Verizon Wireless ERI Banner.

This was developed for a Verizon Wireless 8900, but I have added support hopefully for the others, including cellular south, telus and cricket. testing of those phones will be needed. please do so at your own risk.

Can you get the wallpaper and ringtones to work with verizon's phones...I haven't been able to figure that out.

I use my picture...crop it and save it as a .png (using MSpaint). Then export it to my phone...it doesn't show up...

I can't export pictures to my phone eigther..in brewsky it shows up as being on my phone..go to the phone and there isn't a picture.

Make sure you close BITPIM before using this

Very cool software, much easier for non-techies, and convient for others. Is it written in VB?

Is would be nice to refresh the PC dir screen whout haveing to switch windows then back again...

I downloaded Brewsky 8900 v1.01 beta and can open all the ports but port 3. and when i'm in a port that is open i go to get camera pics and their is never an progress so i cancel then i click refresh cell list and it comes up with a run-time error '8018': Operation valid only when the prot is open. Why is this Brewsky software not working at all??? and do you no of anyother software that you can use to get your camera pics off your phone to your computer with out ussing e-mail??

Hey, does anyone know if this works with the 8900 for Cellular One, and if I can use a link cable with it, cause I'm too cheap to pay for internet access

Using Brewsky 8900 v1.01 with 8900 and Cricket service.

Your software works great!

Haven't had any major problems with it and it is the only program that works as advertised. The (File Browser) Tab does nothing though. BitPim and Data Pilot both give me connection problems and about the only thing I can do with BitPim is backup my phone's directories.

I was hoping you would keep us posted on updates and any chatter you have going at a URL address or location at http://www.dietk.com. Unfortunately the versions I've seen for download do not list all the functions in your screenshot...

Also, wishing that you will think about including function tabs for animation graphics, and other various functions such as: (Power On, Power OFF, Received, Dialed, and Camera Sound)

I just bought a new Audiovox PM-8920 with Sprint PCS service and found this Brewsky software. Apparently that combination isn't supported since it just gets an "Error downloading" message and there is no Sprint PCS option. Are there any plans to add support for that? I'm willing to do some programming work on it myself if there is a way to get some documentation on how it works.

has anyone tested this software with Audiovox 8900 with TELUS??? I just want to make sure it'll work for me before I buy a data cable. Thx

Great tool man! This is SO much easier than what I was doing before. So what's next on your adgenda? Screen Savers? Are games possible? What about other hacks?

does anybody know if the cdm 8900 is able to display Jpgs? or can it just display bmps and pngs?

btw exellent work gnarkill, has a few bugs : it would be nice if it was able to sort the files by names when you click on the file row or the size, and when i click on the "File Browser:" tab nothing happends, also it would be nice if you can maximize the window for extended file viewing.

nm i found a great app that can massivly convert jpgs to png (its called Batch Convert Images if anyone is interested )

Yes!!!

that is if you are referring to the Images that you upload. The camera pics are also saved as jpg and the camera thumbnails are bmp.
