Is anyone using one of these no brand auto chargers? You can get them for 8 bucks instead of paying 25 for the audiovox version. I thought it was a simple device which just needed the proper plug but today when someone tried to sell me an imitation unit, he plugged it into my 8610..the charger light went on but then stayed on after the charger was disconnected. The red charging light light didn't turn off till I turned off the cellphone. I thought that was strange and am wondering if it may not have been a good match for the phone. Any thoughts?
Also, the auto charger plug is just like the home charger plug, right? The other connector on the bottom is for a data cable?
