cricket 8900


does anybody else have one? if so, have you noticed that the place where you would hook up a data cable is blocked off? anyone know of a way to get that little piece off?!?!?

i finally got it out. so nevermind. its just a little piece of plastic. cricket thought they were being smart by having it blocked off so people would have to buy ringtones from them.

Not really... I believe the car charger uses the serial connector as well as the USB data cable... It's the same as the VX-6000. It's not a blocking issue at all, but if someone is not using it to charge or transfer data, then it is best to leave it as a dust cover. Cricket would also use that to transfer data from one phone to another, or if they had to reset the phone.
