Brewsky 8900 Help

Hey guys, new to this forum, and i just got my data cable for my audiovox 8900 today... i was reading up and for most of the people brewsky 8900 works, but for me and some others it doesnt, so i was hoping that for whoever it does work for, that they can let us (the people who it doesnt work for) get an idea of what they did..

For me, my XP computer detects "Curitel" drivers, but i cant detect it in brewsky, i tried to use all the com. ports, but neither gets to work, the progress bar shows no progress at all, i tried to be in the "get it now" menu and tried all the ports, so hopefully someone can let me know what to do, thank you in advance..
