Audiovox 8610 usb drivers

I bought a generic data cable on ebay, and the drivers it came with wouldnt work on XP. It is a data cable for 8900 but it fits my 8610. does anyone know were i could get drivers that would work on XP for the 8610. When i plug the cable into the phone and into the usb port my computer does not recognize it. Can anyone help me

Hey, i just want to let you know, that you need to be careful with what you do to the phone using a USB Data Cable. If you use a cable with a name on it, I would find out what programs go to that and the drivers for the 8610(Specifically). I had a AudioVox 8610 until I bought the FutureDial USB Data Cable, and somewhere down the 20 min. road of trying to put a ringtone on, I made my phone a paper weight....Just a warning. Be carefull. thank you or asking that question! I am having the exact same problem. I cannot get the computer to recognize the device. The phone will charge from the usb.. but that's about it. Please help asap.
