I am new to the boards and I come to you all in need of some help.

I recently purchased an Audiovox PPC6600 Pocket PC. I am in Canada and my carrier is Bell Mobility. I am not, however, signed up on a data plan with Bell Mobility which does not allow me to surf the internet with the PPC's Internet Explorer. This is not that great of a deal for me as I don't want to pay the extra monthly fee for this option because it is not a necessity for me. If I do use the browser while not signed up for the data plan, they charge insanely large amounts of money per MB.

My question is if I buy a WiFi SD card and connect to a wireless network with my Pocket PC and subsequently browse the internet with the browser on the device, does this get around having to have a data plan with my carrier and forego the fees that I would otherwise be charged?

Plain and simple, if I have a Wifi SD card in my PPC and connect to my wireless network at home, will I be surfing the net for free?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
