White Screen on Verizon 8945

My phone keeps turning to a white screen. The phone won't turn off unless I take out the battery. It has done this before and the after awhile began to work again. It once started to work by itself and another time I was able to get it to work by turning it on while holding in the star key. When i try that same procedure now the phone will boot and work for a few seconds and then go back to the white screen. Does anyone know a fix for this besides getting the phone replaced?
