audiovox 8910 will not turn on

i bought my Audiovox 8910 in may of 2006. a week ago my phone turned off cuz the battery was low. i plugged it into the charger and nothing happened. a green light came on instead of the red one. i could not turn it on.
so i bought a new battery from cellphoneshop.com cuz the Verizon store said they could not retrieve my info to put into my new phone unless they could turn it on and they no longer sell my phone or battery. i put the new battery in and still nothing.

i really would like to get the pictures and phone numbers off this phone. is the phone just dead after 3 years? is there a device that can test the batteries to see if they are good? or is there something i can buy to save my info that is on this phone and transfer it to another?
