    Looks like existing Orange customers are now '3 CDMA' customers.

    Hutchison will no longer sell new CDMA services, and the company is
    trying to migrate its CDMA customers to 3G before it shuts its CDMA
    service down altogether.

    Yeah, I'm deciding what to do.... You still have access to 10 minute
    landline calls for 24c (which is the only reason I have an Orange handset)
    but there aren't any on-time payment bonuses (i.e. I currently get more
    included value than I actually pay each month).

    Very interesting, although not really unexpected. Let's face it since
    Telstra announced it will close down it's network CDMA is dead in the
    water in Australia.

    It remains to be seen if the govt will let them.

    Its already stomped their fibre to the node into the ground.

    unfettered, not the other way around

    Pity about Section 9 of the Telstra Corporation Act 1991 (Give ministerial
    directions to Telstra).
