I am receiving an sms every morning at 9:00am from "67887" which says
"Your transaction failed as your account is not active."

I am with iSim and according to iSim my account it all fine and there
should be no reason I should be getting this sms. I was previously with
Optus. i thought maybe it was from them. I believe 67887 is Optus, as i
have received sms from Optus using this number in the past.

The last time I rang Optus, they didn't want to talk to me because I
don't have an account with them. I couldn't get through to them that
they still send me bills of $0 so I must be on their system some where!

So.. I thought I'd ask here.. this news group seems to know more than
    the monkeys on the phone!!
So has anyone else got an sms like this before and know why they got it.
    What is was referring to?

When I signed up for Optus Zoo, they sent me the password via SMS from
    67887.

Maybe you could use the "forgot my password" button at www.optuszoo.com.au
to get it to send a new password via SMS and then login on the web and
cancel the account (if there is already an optus zoo account set up for
your number, it might not check whether you are with Optus when you do
    this).

The Australian anti-spam legislation should apply so they are obliged to
talk to you, or you can lodge a complaint about spamming.

Call isim, which is an optus subsidiary, to complain.
Don't expect much. They will probably be useless, but you can say you tried.
Then call the TIO, and state your problem, and attempts to resolve it.
Optus will only listen once you have a TIO ref. number, sadly.

The reader 'writes' section in electronics australia magazine ,many years
ago, had a bloke who kept getting computer generated invoices for $0.00. He
let it go for a few months, till they threatened to send the debt collectors
around. He then sent them a cheque to the value of $0.00. The bills stopped
    coming.
