Yeah just loving the 3 network, and the S/E K608i ain't bad either,
smallest *candy-bar* style that was avail.
3 paid out over $200 remaining on my CDMA phone and signed me up with a
free phone for just 12 months x $14 which is win win situation.Joe
public pays $29 x 24 months....
The way you can check your account balance is great
The reception ****s all over CDMA [so much for armed forces quality
CDMA]
Checking your emails
Checking EBAY sales
Battery life
Can use the phone overseas thanks to GSM
Sending photos and having video calls
The phone is even smart enough to switch time zones on its own
Keeping the CDMA Samsung as a freebie [Plays good games]
Only 2 *****es
Does not keep time perfectly like CDMA network
GSM network is still a little behind in rural area
PS Orange shuts down and becomes a Lemon 6th August....DEAD

Yep, and that's one of the main reasons why I haven't signed up with Three.
They want my business (going by the attitude of the sales staff at some
stores, they REALLY want my business NOW!!) but they want to charge me more
than double what others are paying for both cap and call/text rates.
I'm sorry, Three, but surely you can do better than 25c SMS messages and
70c/min voice calls? Of course you can; you proudly do it for your old
Orange customers.

You can get onto those plans. Find a dealer that's willing to do it.

I have asked a few. So far all they've done is either laugh or scoff, even
when I point out that it's a dealbreaker...

*TRY* to buy someones Orange connection or contract
It is a super deal, i believe because they roam onto Telstra out of
Metro. they are paying Telsta heaps of income which is lost so they
want everybody onto 3 network ASAP
..Suited me fine they paid out over $200 i got a much better free phone
and service and paying less and droped down to only 12 months contract
NO CATCH!
THE only piss off [BTW its 9th not 6th August] is they may even get
much more generous for those who are waiting to switch over.
Anyway done deal now and i am v happy, and thus far NO FUC*&N INDIA

So they should too! About time they rewarded loyal customers instead of
favouring new customers who will only probably leave again when another
telco offers the latest shiny gadget.

They are loyal, to their wallet, regardless of the 'service'

Ah, no. I want to be a long-term customer. I just want a bit of incentive
to change providers from Optus, who I've been with for a decade now. And
Three's standard call and SMS rates are not exactly enticing; however, the
rates they offer ex-Orange customers are. Why should I pay more -
substantially more - than them?
