Just another clueless journo that doesn't understand the significance of
a wireless broadband network with absolutely massive coverage area far
beyond what any other telco had planned in their wildest dreams.
More desperate Optus FUD as a pathetic attempt to distract everyone from
the fact that Optus doesn't have any equivalent spectrum to deploy a
similar national network and will subsequently be limited to only
deploying 3GSM services in the capital cities and a few regional centres.

That "clueless Journo" you are talking about is Paul Budde a well
known and respected communications analyst, http://www.budde.com.au/
who has been doing this a very long time.
There are elements of truth in that article. Telstra does not "listen"
to anyone.

Yes.

Yes.

Wrong. Only by pig ignorant fools.

And who has ALWAYS got the basics completely wrong over that very long time.

Nope.

Neither does any other telco.

You really should do some research. Paul Budde has only one degree - a
marketing degree from the Netherlands Institute for Marketing!
You should really understand what an 'analyst' means. Anyone that uses a
phone can be self described as a communications analyst.
He does NOT have any technical skills in telecommunications period. All
he does is run around like a mad cow offering personal agendas to any
news organisation stupid enough to pay him. I can only suggest that his
long standing position for Telstra bashing is the result of being
rejected for a broadband upgrade some time ago.

You said "result of being rejected for a broadband upgrade some time ago",
now I wonder how you know that?. Sounds like inside information...

Unlikely, that fool has been telstra bashing since well before
there was even any broadband available in this country.

No, he is a complete and utter ****wit, pie-in-the-sky, theoretical, no idea
about the real world.

No, I think he got charged $65 connection fee on his AMPS to GSM upgrade and
it all started then . . .
