Check to make sure how much, if any, the termination fees will be.
Say, you put a couple of handsets on repayment plans in the past year
due to an upgrade or to replace a lost phone or whatever.
Telstra will transfer the current contracts only into the new
name(unless you agree to end it prior and accept the lump sum). The
other contract(s) , and some people have been known to have 3 or 4
handset contracts on the one number, will cancel completely and the
lump sum will appear in your next bill. Don't assume telstra will
credit these charges as a "system fault". These are valid charges.
Telstra will only credit charges on phone plans and mobile repayments
options (MRO)if a system fault has really occurred.

That is correct. You can only have ONE standard (STND) MRO or phone
contract).
Any other MRO or phone contract that is PEN1'd will have the full ETC
applied.
